CONCORDIA SINALOA._ A trailer driver lost his life this Wednesday after overturning his unit on the Mazatlán-Durango superhighway.
The accident occurred at 09:00 hours at kilometer 163 + 600 of the street in question and a few meters from the El Varal tunnel.
Personnel from Federal Roads and Bridges and from the highway rescue brigade arrived at the scene of the accident; Paramedics tried to provide rst aid to the driver, but he no longer had vital signs.
The trailer box and several tons of tomato were scattered on the pavement; Authorities blocked one lane of the highway for a few
hours.
National Guard agents were in charge of regulating the traffic flow in the area and coordinated the maneuvers to remove the heavy unit and completely free both lanes of the road.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office attested to the death and took charge of the legal proceedings; at the moment the generals of the deceased are unknown.
