Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- More than 2 million people are expected to visit the state of Sinaloa during Holy Week, reported the Director of the State Institute for Civil Protection, Aurelio Roy Navarrete Cuevas.

And to attend to this large number of people on the move, there will be more than 10,000 security elements plus rescue and relief personnel who are collaborating in this special operation for Easter that started this Friday, March 31 from the city of Mazatlán.

“What is not wanted is that people do not participate in this operation, we want society to join us to achieve that white balance, we hope that the public will support us in the sense of prevention, not only from caring since we left from home but on the way and the place where we arrive, prevention is the mother of security,” said the state official.

Navarrete Cuevas recommended that people who will leave home for vacation leave both gas cylinders and their houses well closed, and check their vehicles before going out on the roads.

And if they go to a recreation place, they should identify safe places and not neglect children, but above all, he indicated, that they bring recyclable bags so that they can take away the garbage so that they do not leave it in beach or recreational area.
