Mazatlan, Sinaloa. – The city of Mazatlan achieved excellent results and agreements with Spanish authorities and businessmen during the “Mazatlán Week in Madrid”, which took place from October 10 to 14, highlighted the Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas in a conference press release offered to the media in the Cabildo Hall.

The official was accompanied by the Director of Social Communication, Perla Guzmán, and the queens of the Mazatlan Carnival, Carolina II and Ivanna I, who were present at the work meetings in Madrid and were fundamental pieces in reaching some agreements for the benefit of Mazatlan.

The Secretary specified that the work agenda they attended was in economic and tourist matters during the meetings and gatherings held in Spain, with the aim of achieving areas of opportunity in the commercial market of that country, which benefits Mazatlan in terms of imports. and export to all over the world.

The Secretary commented that 13 work meetings were held during his stay; One of the main ones was with the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, which covers all the country’s chambers and all types of industry. He mentioned that they made two field visits, meetings with 24 media outlets, and 4 destination presentations.

For her part, the Director of Communication pointed out that, in addition to the economic and tourist agenda, there was a rich artistic and cultural agenda, in which the great traditions of the Pearl of the Pacific were highlighted, such as the Mazatlan International Carnival and its distinguished regional music. In these activations that took place in various scenarios, the queens of Carnival 2022, Carolina II and Ivanna I, managed to conquer the people of Madrid by explaining the beauty and history that originates the maximum party of the port.

In addition, to the delight of the Spaniards and tourists in the place, Banda El Recodo marked history with a great presentation in the Plaza Mayor of Madrid, which was attended by more than 12 thousand people who danced and enjoyed the great music of Sinaloa. internationally known.

Thanks to these meetings, efforts, and various activities, the authorities of the city of Cádiz were interested in a twinning by the Municipality of Mazatlán, therefore, a collaboration project focused on cultural exchange and Carnival will be carried out.

Finally, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas added that they also agreed to specify actions to mobilize Spanish companies that are not in Mazatlan, to open the panorama and let them know the development and reality of the city.
