Take the puppies and cats to immunize.

The campaign is part of the commemoration of World Rabies Day, instituted in 2007.

Immunize your pets, today from 9 am to 5 pm at Plaza Acaya.

Remember that it is recommended to vaccinate puppies and cats every six months, so that they have a healthy life.

This action is carried out by the Municipal Ecology Directorate in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, specifically the Department of Vectors and Zoonoses.

The director of Ecology and Environment of Mazatlan, Miriam Rodríguez Paniagua, commented that there are enough doses to apply this vaccine, so she invites citizens to come and immunize their pets, and if they could not attend this Wednesday, then they can go to the permanent vaccination campaign, where pets are also sterilized, in the module located on the outskirts of the Juarez hospital.

The director of the unit reported that despite the fact that for 15 years there has been no case of rabies in Mexico, at least in dogs or cats, it is important that these animals be vaccinated.

This type of campaign, he said, allows control of this type of disease.

Among the requirements, to vaccinate, is that the animals are healthy, without parasites, without any ongoing medical treatment, and in perfect hygiene conditions, in addition to the fact that it is recommended that the application of this vaccine be every 6 months.
