Culiacán, Sinaloa., September 25, 2022.- Extreme sports and adrenaline were present this Sunday with the skateboard contest held at the Government Palace facilities as part of the activities and events commemorating the 491st anniversary of Culiacán.

Divided into the category of beginners in the women’s and men’s branches, as well as intermediate and expert, there was the participation of 40 sports enthusiasts of ramp skateboarding, who gave their best during the presentation of their competitions.

Through the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture, the contest was held, which had a large attendance, mostly relatives and friends of the athletes, who came to express their support through cheers and shouts of encouragement.

With these activities, the City Council of Culiacán continues to strengthen the promotion of sports in children and young people, in order to encourage healthy habits that contribute to a better quality of life.

Currently, the city has a space conditioned for the practice of Skateboard in Parque Las Riberas, and as it is announced by the International Olympic Committee as an official sport for the 2028 Olympic Games, a great hotbed of talent is expected in the city in this discipline.
