From October 4 to December 18, there will be more than 40 shows and artistic and literary activities, both in urban and rural areas.
More than 40 shows will arrive at different stages such as Casa Haas, Ángela Peralta Theater, and Historic Center, among others, at the 2022 Mazatlán Cultural Festival.
The Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlan announced the billboard of what this festival will be and in which the “Tosca Opera”, the “Tribute to The Beatles” by Morsa group, “Tribute Gala, Ballet Company of Mazatlan ”, “Day of the Dead”, “Don Giovanni Opera”, “Tribute Concert to the Music of the Sixties” with the Venezuelan group Los Terrícolas.
Also the “Concert for Two Pianos of the 30th Anniversary of the Ángela Peralta Choir”, “Homage Concert to Lola Beltrán”, “George Michael XXX” celebrates 30 years of the Delfos Contemporary Dance Company” and of course the most acclaimed by the public, “The Nutcracker” and “The Christmas Gala”.
Varied festival for all tastes
At a press conference José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, director of the para-municipal; teacher Zoila Fernández Fernández, artistic director; Irving Campos, director of Logistics and Protocol, and Mario Antonio Corona, director of the Municipal Center for the Arts, announced that the festival will begin on October 4 and end on December 18 .
” It will be a varied festival, ballet, contemporary dance, there will not only be activities in the great venue but also in the different unions with a varied repertoire,” said Fernández Fernández.
For his part, Tostado Quevedo mentioned that the festival is not only for urban areas but also for rural areas and popular neighborhoods, where the “Saturday of trade unions” program and also “Literary Thursdays” will take place.
” The importance of carrying out this Cultural Festival is to strengthen culture and the arts in the municipality, we are going to reach the corners of each place in Mazatlan as we have done day by day with all these activities, we are going to reach the police stations already the syndicate and on the issue of the colonies as well, of course, we are going to be working hard,” he assured.
The participating artists, he stressed, are from the talent pool of the Municipal Center for the Arts, but there will also be the presence of artists of national and international stature.
The municipal official also announced that on September 22 the theme of Carnival 2023 will be announced.
