MAZATLÁN.- A great party was lived in the port with the parade allusive to the Mazatlán Carnival 2022, during this Holy Saturday, where visitors and locals packed the coastal strip from the Fisherman’s monument to the Valentinos.
The moment of departure of the parade was marked by the director of the Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlan, José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, who kicked off this party with a rocket.
The atmosphere was full of joy at all times, music, dance, fun, color and above all many smiles from the visitors, who tasted a bit of the Mazatlan roots.
Carolina II, queen of Carnival 2022, and Ivana II, queen of the Floral Games, as well as the king of Carnival, Obed Ibarra, could be seen in the floats.
The one who also appeared on top of one of the allegorical cars was the Mazatleca singer María Jose, who stole the applause of the people.
On the other hand, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, municipal president of Mazatlán, was a spectator during the event, accompanied by other officials.
He indicated that for the people of Mazatlan this parade is nothing new, but for the visitor, it is something new and impressive.
«For Mazatlecos it is nothing new, it is part of the parade we had at Carnival. But for the tourist it is totally new, it is an invitation for this tourism to come the next Carnival, “said Benítez Torres.
During the tour, troupes of young people were also present who made all the people who came to watch the parade dance.
