Contrary to expectations, the works for the modernization of Avenida Gabriel Leyva are progressing favorably despite the three days of rain that took place at the beginning of the week. This was reported this week at the work meeting by the construction companies that collaborate in this project.

When presenting an aerial video of the entire road, the General Manager of Jumapam, Engineer Luis Gerardo Núñez Gutiérrez, showed what has been done from the Café Marino factory to the Jumapam offices in the last week and questioned who presents delays.

“We are moving forward, it has only stopped on rainy days, and right now a lot of casting is coming from various parts and I think that we are going to do well (with delivery times),” said the municipal official.

The builders commented that in some sections they are working at forced marches, because the damage generated by the rains deteriorated the preparations and to the extent that the soil moisture allows it, the concretes are being placed, both in the road and in the sidewalks.

During the meeting, the Secretary of Public Works, Osbaldo López Angulo, called on the builders to be honest in their work and if they have any problem or obstacle that could delay the schedule, recommended that they ask for help if they need it, because the times of delivery are getting closer and closer and in addition to complying with it, they are obliged to do a quality job.
