The Road to Art has become a platform to support and promote the artists of Mazatlán, with a view to the 16th edition, the call is opened for all the artisans who wish to take part in this contest that will take place on the first Friday of each month starting in November 2021 until April 2022.
Manry Fuentevilla, manager of the Centro Histórico Project, indicated that the registrations of the interested parties will be made until September 30, it will cost 250 pesos per artist, a symbolic amount that covers the expenses of the event such as advertising, maps, brochures, as well as the canvas to identify the participant’s site on the outside.
The Art Walk promotes the visual arts, and artists participate in painting, sculpture, photography, engraving, jewelry, mixed technical drawing, ceramics, woodcut, object art, among other techniques approved by the organizing committee.
During the fifteenth edition that was held in the years 2020 and 2021, 40 artists participated who were exhibiting their creations in 23 galleries, it is expected that for this edition the intervention of the exponents will increase by 10 percent.
Fuentevilla indicated that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the participants will apply the measures established by the authority, and inside they will maintain an ideal capacity to avoid crowds, it should be noted that the foreign community participates constantly in each stage.
