However, the decisions that have been taken by the Cabildo, which is the highest authority, and the competent authorities that have issued this final judgment, will be respected.
Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Mazatlán, disagrees with the decision of the municipal council to pay with three plots the debt of 141 million pesos that is owed with the Arhe group for the Nafta Lubricantes case, as stated by the president of this organization, Roberto Lem González.
“We do not agree, but we are logically going to respect the decisions that have been made by our Cabildo, which is the highest authority and the competent authorities that have issued this ruling, where what should be done is taken into account. . It is not us as a camera, we are simply institutional observers ”, he clarified.
For his part, Miguel Hernández Fonseca, president of the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce, Services, and Tourism of the state of Sinaloa, affirmed that there are other ways to negotiate the payment of the debt.
“I believe that there are other ways to negotiate this type of payments and it is a call for creditors to reflect that they are citizens of here in Mazatlán, like all of us who live in the city, in order to be able to carry out this collection, they have every right, but they also have to think that there are other different ways to collect this debt, “he justified.
Guillermo Romero Rodríguez, Secretary-General of the National Chamber of Commerce, considered that, in particular, if there is a debt, a contract should be negotiated and made, but not paid with land.
“In my opinion, in particular, if there is a debt, you should pay the debt and negotiate and make a contract and not pay them with land or pay with land that does not harm citizens”,
The businessman said that Mazatlán has a lot of lands, although he did not know what specifically are the three lands that the municipality offers to entrepreneurs, however, there are other properties that the municipality could offer to entrepreneurs without being harmed.
“It should be noted that in those lands (with which it is intended to pay the debt), the Central Park will be there or there is already a part, it will also be in the new Sea of Cortez Aquarium area, and those values once park and aquarium are open will increase in value. So, I think that we should be very respectful of the lands of the citizens and the Mazatlecos, “he said.
