Tropical Storm Dolores Leaves Minor Damages in Mazatlan

The emergency and security services attended 21 reports made by citizens during the early hours of Sunday

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- The heavy rain that hit Mazatlán during the early hours of this Sunday left minor damage in the city.

The coordinator of Municipal Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, assured that the rainfall that fell from Saturday afternoon until 7:00 am this Sunday, presents an accumulated amount of 61.4 millimeters, according to the record of the local Meteorological Service.

He mentioned that during the night, the emergency and security services attended 21 reports made by the citizens, including the damage to two homes in a private subdivision, due to the fall of the perimeter fence.

He indicated that there was also a rockfall on the Paseo del Centenario.

In terms of roads, Ruiz Gastélum said that there was an accumulation of water, but that it did not exceed 50 centimeters in Cruz Lizárraga, Miguel Alemán and Roosevelt avenues; in the latter case, due to the accumulation of garbage that reached the collector.

Meanwhile, in Villa Unión there was a clogging of a drain, which affected three homes.
