Sinaloa Governor Quirino Ordaz announces return to school before summer vacation

The president announced that he will meet with union leaders shortly to finalize the return to schools.

Culiacán, Sinaloa.-  Before the end of the 2020-2021 school year, face- to- face classes will be resumed in Sinaloa with a mixed model, announced State Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel.

He commented that with the application of the anti-COVID vaccine to the teachers, dialogue with the leaders of the unions 27 and 53 of the SNTE and with the rectors of public and private universities is facilitated for this return to the classrooms soon.

Interviewed during his visit to the vaccination module that was installed in the high school in Emiliano Zapata, of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, Governor Ordaz Coppel presumed that it will be a magnificent example that Sinaloa will set at the national level.

 He explained that the mixed model consists in that a part of the students go to schools and others continue virtually at home.

The president called on the population to be vaccinated since so far the dose has been safe, and with it, avoid returning to the yellow traffic light in the entity, which thanks to the care of the people it was possible to be green.

Regarding the return to classrooms of the students of the basic and upper secondary level, Governor Quirino Ordaz admitted that the consent of the parents will be required, but in the case of the professional, here it is facilitated more by the age of the learners.
