A group of 25 nurses from Villahermosa, Tabasco, arrived in Mexico City this Thursday, December 24th, to reinforce Operation Chapultepec implemented by the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS).
The nursing group made up of generals, assistants, and residents, agreed that the main motivation to strengthen the Covid Response Teams is solidarity with their colleagues who for 10 months have worked intensively to save the lives of patients with this disease.
These male and female nurses work at Hospital General de Zona (HGZ) No. 46 in Villahermosa, Tabasco. Upon arrival at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM), they expressed that part of their motivation to be in the country’s capital is the gratitude and reciprocity they have received from other entities when their state has experienced floods or other natural disasters.
The Tabasco nursing group is part of the more than 600 IMSS health workers who participate in Operation Chapultepec, whose goal is to guarantee care for patients with Covid-19 during the most critical stage of the pandemic.
