The Baja California Attorney General’s Office reported that so far in 2020 there have been 1,788 homicides in Tijuana. Only in November 109 were registered, which gives an average of almost 6 daily.

The mayor of Tijuana, Arturo González Cruz, dismissed the figure and indicated that due to the large number of inhabitants in the city, it is normal for most of the murders to occur there.

“If it hadn’t been for the drop in homicides in Tijuana, the state would have more than last year. Tijuana is going well, we must also work on homicides in other municipalities ”, clarified the municipal president, after the installation of security committees.
