OAXACA, Oax., November 7, 2020. The Oaxaca Health Services (SSO) reported that Oaxaca accumulated 21,900 positive cases of Covid 19 and 1,740 accumulated deaths, in addition to 3,593 suspects and 19,591 people recovered .

The general coordinator of Sanitary Jurisdictions of the Oaxaca Health Services (SSO), Said Vásquez Valle, indicated that the 146 new patients notified today belong to 56 municipalities; urban areas continue to concentrate the highest incidence, it said in a statement.

Mainly Oaxaca de Juárez with 38 reports in the last 24 hours, Santa Lucía del Camino and Villa de Zaachila with seven respectively, as well as Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán and Salina Cruz both areas with six, the rest of the municipalities counted five, four, three, two and one.

He asserted that currently there are 577 Oaxacans and Oaxacans who have the viral disease in the contagious stage, Valles Centrales has 52 municipalities with active cases, in this region the areas with the most reports are: Oaxaca de Juárez and Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán with 197 and 30, respectively.

In the second position is located the Mixteca with 14 municipalities that have patients who fell ill in the last 14 days, the town with the highest number being the Heroic City of Huajuapan de León with 31; the Coast reports 11 municipalities, San Pedro Mixtepec District 22 is the most affected with 13 cases; the Sierra with nine, with the highest incidence in Tlacolula de Matamoros with six; The Isthmus presented four municipalities, Salina Cruz with the highest number of infections with three assets; and finally, Tuxtepec with two localities, of this demarcation San Juan Bautista Tuxtepec heads the list with four cases.

He mentioned that regarding the people who have received medical discharge, 13 thousand 348 belong to Central Valleys, thousand 814 to the Isthmus, thousand 569 to Tuxtepec, thousand 390 to the Mixteca, 960 to the Coast and 510 to the Sierra.

According to the local count of positives and deaths, he said, 14,646 are from Valles Centrales, where 857 people have also died; The Isthmus has 2,132 confirmed and 312 deaths; Tuxtepec 1,831, of this number 257 lost their lives; Mixteca one thousand 596 and 145 deaths, Costa one thousand 112 and 112 fatal losses; the Sierra has a total of 583 infections and 57 have died.

Regarding health personnel, this Friday a global of 936 positive cases were recorded in doctors, 1,227 in nursing personnel and 945 in workers from other areas. Likewise, the hospital network has a 32.2% occupancy of beds for patients with some complication.

He stressed that, of the 1,740 deaths, eight more than yesterday’s cutoff, 792 occurred in the age group of 65 and over, 410 from 50 to 59 years, 247 from 60 to 64 years, 154 from 25 to 44 years, 112 from 45 to 49 years, eight in children under one year, five from one to four years, four from five to nine years and 20 to 24 years, both with the same number, three from 15 to 19 years, one from five to nine years.

The official explained that diabetes mellitus was present in 39.8% of the people who unfortunately died, followed by high blood pressure in 37% and obesity in 24.8%.

Therefore, he pointed out that the population should take extreme preventive measures in the elderly and in patients with some comorbidity since they constitute the group at greatest risk of complications that require special attention and hospital admission.
