Officials from the Department of Customs and Border Protection (CBP for its acronym in English) reported that 363 kilos of methamphetamine was seized in the checkpoints located between Sonora and Arizona in the Mariposa Port of entry in the Mexican city of Nogales, Sonora

The officers discovered 650 packages including almost 4 kilos of fentalin, all with a market value of almost 2 million dollars.

The truck in which the drug was found was driven by a 58-year-old Mexican citizen and was apparently loaded with peppers, cucumbers, and pickles, however, after conducting a thorough inspection, customs authorities noticed the anomalies throughout the floor of the trailer.

Michael Humphries, director of the CBP in Nogales, Arizona, highlighted that these narcotics are very dangerous and this is the second seizure of this magnitude that they have achieved in less than three months.

In addition, also during the weekend but in the border crossing point between San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, and San Luis, Arizona, customs agents detained four men from whom they seized 68 kilos of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine with a value estimated at 1.2 million dollars.
