Mexico City.- The Governor of Sinaloa, Quirino Ordaz Coppel, met with the Russian ambassador to Mexico, Viktor V. Koronelli, to ensure that the Sputnik vaccine reaches the state.

The state president said that the vaccine will be purchased with funds from the sale of the Government House.

“Seeing the relationship that the Government of Mexico already has with Russia for the process of acquiring the vaccine that they are manufacturing, we are very interested in knowing in what stage they are going, and above all, if all those of the Mexican government do not reach it to Sinaloa, establish a communication channel to see how we can buy a supply of vaccines, “he said.

Ambassador Viktor V. Koronelli explained to Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel, that they are in stage three, consisting of the testing phase of the vaccine, and the registration of Cofepriss is required to be able to distribute it, which he estimates could be finalized by the end of the year.

Ordaz Coppel announced that in addition to the Sputnik vaccine, the Astra Zeneca vaccine, and that of China, are also in mind.
