Three boats were scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, but they decided to cancel for their own reasons

Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- On Tuesday, March 10, according to the API Cruise Arrival Program, three tourist cruises were scheduled to arrive in Mazatlan: Royal Princess, Carnival Panorama and Oosterdam. However, they canceled their visit.

The Captain of the Port, José Enrique Mora Reyes, confirmed that the three vessels suspended such arrivals and clarified that this was the decision of the shipping lines, not of the port.

“Yes it is correct, the three have been canceled today.”

“We don’t know the reason, it’s the company’s policy,” he said.

This is recorded after last week confirmed the death of a man with Coronavirus Covid-19 in the United States, after having traveled on the Grand Princess cruise, which touched down in four ports of the Republic, including Mazatlan. Also, days later it was reported that 21 passengers had been detected with the virus on the boat.

Mora Reyes added that at the moment no other cancellation of more cruises has been announced.
