The governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhué Rodríguez, invited Elon Musk, founder of the Tesla company, to invest in the state to produce its electric cars since California denied him permission to resume activities.

“We would be delighted to welcome a team from your company to discuss a business plan for Tesla,” the state president wrote in a Twitter message sent to the founder of the electric car company.

The invitation came after Musk signaled the possibility of withdrawing his company from California, due to the refusal of the United States authorities to allow him to resume automobile production.

“We know much more about what must be done to be safe, thanks to the experience gained at the Tesla factory in China,” said the businessman on his Twitter account. The Chinese subsidiary has already resumed operations after the health contingency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Governor of Guanajuato asked the investor to consider the entity, since today “it is the most dynamic area in Latin America in the field of automobile manufacturing, with seven plants installed in its territory.”

Rodríguez Vallejo also sent a video to Elon Musk, in which he explains the advantages that Tesla would have when investing in the state.
