Fuels will rise in price this new year, as of January 1 will increase the Special Tax on Products and Services (IEPS) in such a way that it will be reflected in 38 cents more in a liter of Magna gasoline, 12 cents more in the liter of Premium, and 79 cents more in liter of diesel, informed the president of the Supplier and Distributor of Hydrocarbons, Heriberto Félix Díaz.
“There is an increase in the IEPS from the first day as of 0.08, there are 38 cents more in Magna, 12 cents more in the Premium and 79 cents more in diesel.”
The gas entrepreneur considered that these increases in cents are less than the differences between different service stations due to competition between companies since there are currently up to a weight difference per liter.
He said that the previous IEPS in Magna gasoline is 4.57, so it will rise to 4.95; In the Premium the IEPS is 4,060 and will increase to 4,018, while in diesel the IEPS is 4,649 and will increase to 5.44.
He cited that the international price of gasoline has fallen, for example in the United States, but this is not the case in our country.
