Spaniards come to Mazatlan in search of business opportunities

MAZATLÁN.- A delegation from Spain, headed by representatives of the Embassy of that European country in Mexico, will visit the port and the south of Sinaloa in search of business opportunities.


The federal deputy Maximiliano Ruiz Arias, of the Morena party, revealed that foreign visitors are interested in certain specific productive areas of the region.


“(The days) 26 and 27 (of March) comes a business delegation with which we have been working with people of the municipality, with the chemist Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres (mayor), to open veins of negotiation with Spain in terms of aquaculture , in terms of agriculture and hotels, they are interested in this region, I think they are going to take several projects in mind, “he said.


“A representative of the Embassy of Spain comes in business, agriculture and fishing, they will have meetings, but they will also have tours in the south of Sinaloa (…) we promoted the possibility of a visit to El Quemado and El Quelite basically, because they have an interest in the production of mango (…), dairy and pig farming. “


On the other hand, the deputy Ruiz Arias, president of the Fisheries Committee in the Chamber of Deputies, expressed his pleasure at the approach that the President of Mazatlan had with the fishing sector.


He pointed out that it is vitally important to deal with the issue in an adequate manner and to solve the problems that afflict fishermen.


“Here the chemist is resonating very well with the fishermen, because he knows very well what fishing means for Mazatlan (…), the fishing and tourist vocation are intrinsically linked and must be met with diligence and decision (.. .), it seems that the relationship was finally established as it should be and here it is about winning. ”
