A Michigan teen dies after falling from a balcony during a Spring Break vacation in Mexico.
At 2200 hours the death of an American citizen at the GR Solaris Hotel was reported to the emergency number 911.
The hotel is located at km. 20 in Cancun´s hotel zone. When the police arrived, they learned from hotel staff that at 2140 hours 19-year-old Ahmed Altaii from Dearborn Michigan, had fallen from his 7th floor balcony.
The girlfriend of the now deceased, also from the United States mentioned that her boyfriend started drinking early in the day.
Witnesses mentioned to the police that he had seemed nervous or anxious, and had been pacing around the hotel room.
The incident is under investigation.
