Mazatlan, Sinaloa.- The director of Civil Protection, Eloy Ruiz Gastélum, said that for 3 weeks, reviews were carried out at all the establishments surrounding the carnival area and that all of them were in optimal conditions for the integrity of the assistants.
“All the temporary accommodation centers, all the establishments in the carnival zone were reviewed, also talking about what is the Plazuela Machado area,” he said.
Regarding the Naval Combat, he said that they will be using about 300 kilograms of pyrotechnics, distributed in 12 points of fire located in the extension of Olas Altas, of which 6 will be located in the sand part and another 6 in the sea . Reason why from the afternoon of Thursday, will be limited access to these beaches, as the placement of these points will last about 18 hours.
As for the parades on Sundays and Tuesdays, he pointed out that the roads will be closing from a night prior to these events.
