It is located within a protected natural area managed by CONANP (National Commission of Protected Natural Areas), where turtle nesting, pelicans, dolphins, and seasonal whale sightings can be observed.

Guests can also visit the Turtle Sanctuary with a donation that supports conservation efforts. Private cabanas near the pools can also be rented, offering waiter service for food and drinks.
