Mazatlán continues to be the preferred destination for domestic and international tourists—a fact demonstrated by the arrival this year of 67 cruise ships carrying over 247,000 travelers—asserted Sinaloa Governor Yeraldine Bonilla Valverde.

“This year, 67 cruise ships have arrived in Mazatlán carrying 247,000 tourists; this reaffirms the fondness that domestic and international travelers have for visiting this port city, and proves that Mazatlán remains the destination of choice for tourists,” the state governor stated.

To date, the economic impact has exceeded 385 million pesos, benefiting thousands of Mazatlán residents who earn their living in the commerce, tourism, and service sectors.

Bonilla Valverde highlighted that the State Government—working in coordination with the Federal Government—attends to all tourists arriving in Sinaloa, providing them with security during their visits to the state’s Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns) and other tourist sites they choose to visit.

She emphasized that all who wish to visit Sinaloa are welcome, and that they are provided with excellent care, delivered with the characteristic warmth of the people of Sinaloa.

The most recent cruise ship to arrive in Mazatlán was the Navigator of the Seas on Tuesday, May 19, carrying 3,758 international tourists on board.
