15 warehouses of chemical precursors seized in Sinaloa

Elements of the Army, National Guard (GN), SSPC (Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection), the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and the Sinaloa State Public Security Secretariat, through the State Preventive Police, secured and disabled 15 storage areas for chemical precursors.

Federal and state authorities secured 15 storage warehouses used to store chemical precursors in the municipalities of Culiacán, Elota, and Cosalá, Sinaloa, the State Public Security Secretariat reported.

In a statement, the agency explained that the actions were carried out within the framework of ‘Operation Search, Location, and Destruction of Clandestine Laboratories’.

Members of the Army, National Guard (GN), SSPC, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), and the Sinaloa State Public Security Secretariat, through the State Preventive Police, secured and disabled 15 storage areas for chemical precursors in the municipalities of Culiacán, Elota, and Cosalá. He indicated.

During the operation, he detailed, authorities seized 2,180 liters of an unknown substance, 1,280 liters of ethyl acid, 255 liters of benzyl alcohol, 450 liters of paint thinner, 150 liters of isopropyl alcohol, 1,650 liters of hydrochloric acid, 20 liters of ethyl acid, and 700 liters of sulfuric acid.

They also seized 300 liters of benzene, 100 liters of methanol, 40 liters of chlorine, 5,100 liters of an unknown chemical precursor, 112 jerrycans, one bucket, 55 drums, two carboys, eight containers, and two hoses.

The seized items were turned over to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and destroyed according to the established protocols, the statement details.
