Mazatlán is closing out the year as one of the most established real estate destinations, thanks to its dynamic markets and attractiveness for investment, according to Luciano Carrasco Altamirano.

The president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) Mazatlán chapter emphasized Mazatlán’s continued progress, particularly in the construction of beachfront towers.

He affirmed that despite Mazatlán’s current challenges, construction has not stopped, resulting in a record number of active real estate projects, with over 200 currently underway.

He added that more integrated residential, vertical, and tourism projects are on the horizon, further solidifying Mazatlán’s position as an investment hub.

“We’ve experienced a slight slowdown, as several people have told us they plan to sign contracts at the beginning of next year, and we’re awaiting these agreements to further boost the sector. And something that’s coming on strong is residential housing and beachfront apartments,” he said.

Carrasco Altamirano added that the projects currently in vogue are sustainable ones, that is, a hybrid lifestyle, which combines in-person and digital experiences, and local and global connections, seeking a balance between work, mobility, and well-being.

The president of AMPI Mazatlán pointed out that the demand for properties is driven by air connectivity, such as flights from Mazatlán to Hermosillo, Torreón, and the upcoming route to Guadalajara.

“This connects us to the Bajío region, and that is strengthening the investment segment, although we are also experiencing some adjustments due to oversupply. Even so, there is a very positive perception of appreciation levels, which are very stable,” he emphasized.
