In observance of the traditional celebration of the Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, through its Traffic Sub-Directorate, announces that several streets surrounding the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception will be closed to traffic.
Óscar García Peinado, Deputy Director of Municipal Traffic, explained that the traffic operation in the city center will begin this Thursday, December 11, at 6:00 a.m., and is scheduled to reopen at midnight on Friday, December 12.
The streets that will be closed are Ángel Flores and Benito Juárez, as well as the section from Guillermo Nelson to Aquiles Serdán, where vendors are expected to set up and pedestrian traffic is anticipated.
García Peinado indicated that the alternate route for public transportation will be via Miguel Alemán Avenue and Teniente Azueta Street, then turning onto Leandro Valle, continuing toward Benito Juárez, and resuming its regular route.
