Skeletal Remains Discovered in Clandestine Graves in Mazatlán Suburb

In a disturbing discovery, two skeletons were unearthed from clandestine graves in the Lomas de Monterrey neighborhood of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, on Friday afternoon.

Members of the collective For Voices Without Justice conducted an extensive search of the area’s dry underbrush, scouring the terrain from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. amidst sweltering temperatures and humidity. The grueling search culminated in the discovery of two clandestine graves at noon on June 6.

Details surrounding the skeletal remains have yet to be released, fueling concerns about the circumstances of their deaths and the potential involvement of organized crime groups. Authorities have been notified of the discovery, and an investigation is expected to follow.
