The “Ruby Princess” cruise ship has become the 99th cruise ship of the year to dock in Mazatlán, bringing a total of 4,210 passengers and crew. Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, head of the Ministry of Tourism, announced the ship’s arrival and emphasized the significance of cruise tourism for the port. The 100th tourist cruise is scheduled to arrive next Monday.
The “Ruby Princess” arrived at 7:45 a.m. with 3,056 passengers and 1,154 crew members, having set sail from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. The ship will continue its journey at 4:30 p.m., heading to Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur.
Velarde Cárdenas highlighted that Mazatlán is one of the top ports for cruise passengers, who come to explore the city’s various attractions and its surroundings. The steady influx of cruise ships underscores Mazatlán’s appeal as a premier tourist destination.
