Mazatlán’s basic education schools are ready to start the 2024-2025 school year this Monday.
In the new cycle, around 100 thousand students will start classes in 746 schools and an average of 9 thousand 800 teachers in the southern part of the state, which includes San Ignacio, Mazatlán and Concordia.
The head of the Regional Services of the Secretariat of Public Education and Culture, José Juan Rendón Gómez, said that they are ready to start the cycle and so far they have no reports of vandalism in the schools.
“Until Monday, when the classrooms open, is when we have the precise information based on what teachers, directors and janitorial staff report on whether anomalies were recorded during the holidays,” he said.
The Secretariat of Public Education and Culture said that they are ready to receive more than 987 thousand students and 4 thousand 986 basic education schools in Sinaloa.
Special operation
On the other hand, the Municipal Public Security Secretary, Jaime Othoniel Barrón Valdez, announced that this Monday, due to the return to school, Municipal Traffic will implement a special operation to clear the roads, especially where construction work is being done.
The rehabilitation of Insurgentes Avenue, Mazatlán Avenue in Fovissste Playa Azul, as well as the construction of an overpass at the intersections of Juan Pablo and Luis Donaldo Colosio Avenues, and Manuel Clouthier Avenue, are some of the works being carried out at key points that generate vehicular traffic.
