The State Attorney General’s Office revealed the identity of the young man who was shot on Saturday afternoon while he was with a group of friends on a beach in Mazatlán.
He was identified as Alexis “G”, a 20-year-old from Los Angeles, California, who received three gunshot, two in the back and one in the head, and was found lifeless sitting on a chair in the beach area of Zona Dorada.
The young woman who was injured was identified as Karen “G”, 28, from Paramount, California, who received a gunshot below the shoulder and was taken to a hospital conscious and in stable condition.
At the scene, a wheelchair was found, which was speculated to belong to the deceased. Additionally, alcoholic beverages were found at the spot where they were socializing, and the companions remained at the scene, some in shock and others unable to believe what had happened.
