The update of the Urban Development Program of the Mazatlán Population Center is almost ready, and the Municipal Planning Institute, in coordination with the consulting firm that did the work, is holding public hearings to present the base document.
Leticia Alvarado Fuentes, head of Implan, commented that the consulting firm PPI has already finished the document for said program, and by law it must be available for consultation and to receive proposals for improvements from citizens for 45 days.

She added that in these meetings the company will be able to respond to the concerns of the population, while pointing out that these planning programs in Mazatlán have never been used.
“The hearings are the exercises in which those who developed the program, which was the PPI consultancy, have the possibility not only to present it, but to answer questions from people who have a particular point with the program (…) this program can ideally be applicable, because the history of urban development programs in Mazatlán is that they are documents that have not been applied.”

The official rejected that the previous program is obsolete, since it has many issues that were revolutionary in their time and are now being taken up again, that is to say that it has many areas of opportunity with everything that has changed in Mazatlán.
The public hearing was held this Wednesday in the City Hall with the participation of municipal authorities, civil organizations, schools, chambers and citizens in general.
