Hotels in Mazatlán that guarantee hygiene and quality practices receive Sectur badges

Mazatlán, Sin.- For its hygiene and quality practices, the Sinaloa Tourism Secretariat awarded eight “Clean Point Maximum Hygienic Quality” badges to the Torres Mazatlán vacation resort, and another similar number of the “H Badge” to consumer centers in Gaviana Resort Mazatlan.

In the first case, the certified units are: hot food service area, bar, restaurant area, reception, rooms, swimming pools, laundry and store.

The head of Sectur, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, highlighted the need to be in constant training and work as a team to achieve better results.

She explained that Punto Limpio is to promote the incorporation of good hygiene practices in the management models of tourism companies, in order to protect the health of their clients, their workers and the receiving communities.

     “Having these certifications will not only serve tourists but also you, it is your security.”

At the Gaviana Resort Mazatlán, Sectur awarded the H Distinction to the following consumption centers: bakery, Bar Agatha, Restaurant Beach Grill, Restaurant Agatha Kitchen Bar, employee dining room, Vittore Terrazzo restaurant, Bar Gaviota and Bar Vittore.

The Undersecretary of Investment and Tourism Development, Moisés Ríos Pérez, representing Secretary Estrella Palacios Domínguez, announced that the certifications that were delivered have the fundamental purpose of reducing the incidence of foodborne illnesses (ETA) in national tourists and foreigners, as well as improving Mexico’s image in terms of prevention and control.

For her part, Consultant H, Dulce María Maciel, said that she trained 98 people from the different consumption centers of the hotel, for better functioning of the implemented mechanisms.

The State Secretary of Tourism highlighted that by instructions from Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, the professionalization tasks in the lodging and consumption centers in the entity will continue to be supported.
