Mazatlán, Sin.- A young tourist suffered a head injury when a stone fell from the upper canyon while taking a photo outside the Cueva del Diablo, on Paseo Claussen, in Mazatlán.

The report to the emergency number was generated around 1:55 p.m. that a stone had fallen on the head of a young woman, and she was injured, and paramedics from the Red Cross and Municipal Civil Protection elements immediately attended.

It was said in the place that when this young tourist was with her family in the tourist site known as Cueva del Diablo, when she wanted to take a photo in the place, a stone fell on her, without knowing the size, which caused her a wound of about 3 centimeters, which made her sit in the place while her relatives and witnesses offered her help and called the emergency number.

The people who were in the Glorieta Sánchez Taboada went to the place to see what was happening.

When the Red Cross paramedics arrived, they treated the young woman who identified herself as Oneida Sugey, 26 years old, from Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit, who presented a 5-centimeter wound in the frontal region, for which she was transferred to receive medical attention at the Social Security Hospital.

When they saw the ambulance, the tourists who arrived at the Glorieta Sánchez Taboada and who arrived on the tourist cruise took more photos of this event than of the diver.

Once the Red Cross ambulance left, the Municipal Civil Protection elements proceeded to cordon off the access area to the Cueva del Diablo with red tape to prevent another person from being injured, since rocks are constantly falling from the top of the hill.
