Confirm 9 shipping companies for the FCCA convention in Mazatlán

The Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa reported that the organization of the event that will take place from November 7 to 10 in the port is advancing.

Mazatlán, Sin.- With the confirmation of nine shipping companies and an attendance of 500 people, the Annual Conference of the Florida and Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) will take place in Mazatlán in November 2023.

The director of the Meetings Industry of the SECTUR, Alejandra Osuna Granados, explained that for the event that will take place from November 7 to 10, the presence of the shipping companies Disney, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, among others, has been confirmed.

“We expect between 400-500 attendees between executives from the shipping companies and organizers from the FCCA, some shipping companies will bring two or three people, others 10,” she said.

She announced that in August they will carry out a visit on behalf of the organization to carry out a final inspection in the places where the activities of the convention will take place.

“The work meeting will be at the Convention Center and other activities will also be carried out in different areas of Mazatlan so that they can offer them in their packages and learn what a cruise ship can enjoy during its stay in the port,” she said.

Alejandra Granados pointed out that for the organization of this event, the three levels of government, the Ministry of Tourism, SEDECTUR and the Administration of the Mazatlán National Port System are coordinated.

The FCCA Annual Conference is the largest cruise convention in the Americas and is designed to foster a better understanding of the inner workings of the cruise industry, as well as help attendees improve their cruise tourism business.

The Florida & Caribbean Cruise Association is a non-profit professional association comprised of 14-member cruise lines operating more than 100 ships in Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America. It was created in 1972.
