Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- After the accident where two motorcyclists died, apparently being hit by the driver of a truck when they were driving on the state highway to Isla de la Piedra, in Mazatlán, the Secretary of Municipal Public Security, Jaime Othoniel Barrón Valdez , called on citizens not to try to take justice into their own hands.

On Sunday evening, the driver of a Ford Explorer-type truck, which was traveling at excessive speed, rammed the two young motorcyclists by invading their lane. From the strong impact, they were projected through the air, falling to the asphalt, unfortunately, without vital signs.

However, the driver fled the place, abandoned the truck and a credential.

The police chief said that citizens can collaborate to find the alleged perpetrator, although he clarified that it is a job that the responsible authority must do, but if they have information, he asked that they provide it, that people should to take justice into their own hands.

Likewise, he indicated that it is an exclusive work of Public Security and the agency in charge of the delivery of justice.

Commander Barrón Valdez confirmed that they have information on the person, license plates and vehicle of the person allegedly responsible for driving, apparently in a drunken state, speeding and invading lanes.

Although he clarified that this is the responsibility of the investigating authority to find this alleged person responsible for the death of the two motorcyclists.

For what corresponds to the preventive police, he confirmed that they are following up through the Analysis Unit on all the complaints and what the relatives of the two motorcyclists are exposing through social networks, where they request information about the driver of the Ford Explorer that is said to have rammed the deceased youths.

The Secretary of Public Security announced that they are going to take advantage of the Easter Week operation, where several corporations participate, to try to inhibit young people from driving their motorcycles without preventive measures, such as safety helmets, on state highways.
