IPN and CANACINTRA Mazatlán seek to increase competitiveness in southern Sinaloa

Mazatlan, Sin. – The National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA) and the National Polytechnic Institute are seeking to join forces to carry out a series of activities, to provide greater benefits to workers and companies in Mazatlan.

Sergio Rojas Velarde, president of CANACINTRA Mazatlán, announced the details of this collaboration, in which through a mapping it will be possible to make a diagnosis in the companies to be able to give their workers adequate training, achieving high competitiveness.

“In collaboration with them, we are going to map the production processes of all the companies that so wish, to know that they are members of CANACINTRA, to know what they are up to, what they need to be able to support them with the necessary training; first we have to select with attention the processes to know where they are at the moment”.

Rojas Velarde indicated that this would benefit this destination, because with the expected industrial boom, companies will require highly qualified personnel.

He added that with the sum of efforts they seek workers to have better preparation, this with the Poli-virtual program of the IPN, which offers the opportunity to study degrees or online courses.

Juan Antonio Duarte Uruguay, director of the Center for Linkage and Regional Development of the IPN, stressed that thanks to this union they have had the opportunity to get closer to the Ministry of Tourism, and they are about to start a course for tourist guides.

Finally, they commented that this project is designed for the municipalities of Sinaloa, to make the south of the state more competitive.
