Between the cast of Palenque and Velaria, Fenadu will have everything from Julión Álvarez, Carin León, MS, to Juanes and the 90’s Pop Tour
The National Fair of Durango, known as the famous “ Fenadu ” returns from July 15 to 31, expecting to generate an economic benefit of up to 200 million pesos and the visit of over 900 thousand people.
The Fenadu will be held after two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, calling it, according to the Undersecretary of Promotion of the Durango Tourism Secretariat, as the “reunion edition”, returning with an artistic cast that seeks tourism from everywhere.
“We are comparing with 2019, which was the last year of the last edition of the fair, we are expecting over 900 thousand people, hopefully, we can overcome it with the support of all the people of Mazatlan, who escape the heat, the traffic and It can be used not only to go to the fair but to the Magical Town of Nombre de Dios”, declared Elvira Silerio Díaz, Undersecretary of Planning of Durango.
The fair will be inaugurated, in the palenque, with Julión Álvarez, there will also be artists such as Carín León, Marisela, Edén Muñoz, Pablo Montero, Remmy Valenzuela and Banda MS; at the Velaria, there will be Los Aguilar, Grandiosas, Bronco, Jesse y Joy, Intocable, Siddartha, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, the 90’s Pop Tour, among others.
And the Covid-19? Filters in the Fenadu
The Undersecretary of Promotion pointed out that the state is aware that the pandemic continues, therefore, essential sanitary protocols will be maintained, such as the use of face masks, they will install sanitary filters and added, and most of the events are outdoors, which will have a control in the influx of visitors.
“The Velaria facilities are one of the best at the national level but they also have ample space and most of the shows will be outdoors, which will allow ventilation, capacity will be controlled, they will be limited to maintain the healthy distance I think that after two years people want to get together and meet again,” said Silerio Díaz.
An activity in the mountains with the Sierra-Pacific route
Along with Fenadu, the national Sierra-Pacific cycling event will be held from July 28 to 30, what does it consist of? In a ride of at least 320 kilometers with a stop in Mexiquillo to rest, where cyclists from different parts of Mexico meet, part of the Durango capital and end in Mazatlán.
Registration is 3,000 pesos and, according to the organizers, there are still approximately 70 places, which can be obtained at the “Rider Bike Store” of the Mazatlan cyclist, Jessica Elizalde.
