MAZATLAN. – A festival of The Beatles in our beloved port? Now it is possible. The federal and municipal authorities will work together to diversify the culture.

During the unveiling of the Liverpool alley plaque, an alley that pays tribute to the British band The Beatles, the federal tourism secretary, Miguel Torruco Marqués, stated that the ideal is to hold music festivals so that Mazatlan becomes the cultural cradle of the international music so that tourism shows how important the port is.

“Let’s start with The Beatles festival every year so that it becomes more important and more internationally recognized. But let’s also do the festival of jazz, rock and classical music”, he expressed.

He pointed out that the diversification and innovation of the tourism product will strengthen tourism activity as a fundamental element for the recovery of the sector in Sinaloa.

For his part, Mayor Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres revealed that the idea of ​​making strategic points for tourists was the idea of ​​the federal secretary, a council that they followed and that they will begin to implement during this administration.

“We wanted to make a magical space, where people can share culture and take pictures,” he added.

The fifth beatle

Musician Pete Best, better known as the fifth Beatle for having been in The Silver Beatles, could come to Mazatlan to play drums.

Torruco Marqués promised to bring it as part of the music festival that is intended to be held.

The Silver Beatles is an event that was held as part of the 53rd anniversary of the Liverpool quartet’s rooftop concert, their last concert.
