A total of nine people, seven of them tourists and two locals, were transferred by elements of Civil Protection to the temporary shelter that was installed in the Western Cultural Institute to attend to the possible victims of the rains of Tropical Storm Nora, reported the Mazatlán Municipal DIF System through a press release.

These are tourists who were stranded in the City who come from CDMX, Los Mochis and Chiapas, as well as two people from the town.

Upon arrival at the shelter, they were treated by a doctor, who checked their temperature, vital signs and blood pressure. All were in good health.

After providing medical care, the victims were able to ingest food, water, bread and coffee and will remain refugees until the weather conditions allow them to leave the place.

The DIF Mazatlán is serving four temporary shelters, that of the ICO, in the Sports Center of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, in the Lions Club and one more in Villa Unión, in the Sixto Osuna Elementary School.
