For the last two weekends of the summer vacation period in Mazatlán, levels of 50% are estimated

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- For the last two weekends of the summer vacation period, the hotels of the upcoming Del Mar de Mazatlán expect an occupancy of 50%, estimated José Ramón Manguart Sánchez.

The president of the Tres Islas Hotels Association revealed that the Malecón hotels registered an occupancy between 45-50% during the weekend and between 25 and 30% during the week

At the end of the holidays, the occupations in the lodging establishments will be lower.

He stated that at the end of the holidays the occupations in the lodging establishments will be lower, because the economy contracts, and more if the return to classes is in person.

“We understand that with the return to classes, and more if it is going to be face-to-face, the occupations will be lower, then business tourism, which is the one that travels in low seasons, could be less,” due to covid he said.

He commented that after the holidays are over, he will have to wait for dates such as the September and November three-day weekends vacations, El Buen Fin, to be able to have important hotel occupancies again.

Manguart Sánchez revealed that the Malecón hotels registered an occupancy between 45-50% over the weekend and between 25 and 30% during the week.

“We understand it perfectly, due to the situation we are going through, perhaps within this scenario of being the first state to return to red in the third wave, perhaps we will be the first to leave,” he said.

The hotel leader considered that continuing with health protocols and vaccination is what will move everyone forward, because this does not have one or two months left, but apparently it will go a long way.

“It is no longer a matter of government, but self-responsibility, and to the extent that we apply prevention protocols, it can gradually lead us to reduce infection rates,” he concluded.
