Mazatlan: New road closure on Gabriel Leyva avenue starts on Monday

As of Monday, the road flow in the section from Pedro Infante to Insurgentes will be modified

Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- As of Monday, July 19, the stretch of Gabriel Leyva avenue that includes Pedro Infante street to Insurgentes will be closed for paving, so the exit lane of the city from the intersection of Margarita Maza de Juárez to Avenida Internacional will be enabled in two directions.

This was agreed during the project progress evaluation meeting that Jumapam and the Ministry of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic carry out every week.

“The meeting was held to inform so that the population of Mazatlán is aware, that it will be closed for two to three days, in the Pedro Infante and Gabriel Leyva section to pave, we are going to divert that bit to a double lane a little from Café Marino to Insurgentes, ” said Juan Ramón Alfaro Gaxiola, Secretary of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic.

At the working meeting, it was also agreed that as sections are paved, they will be released, to facilitate vehicular flow on this road, which is the southern entrance to the city and the access road to the port area.

Another positive report was that 29 sections of 30-inch diameter, class 10 hydraulic PVC pipelines arrived, which are a total of 174 linear meters, which are already being installed in the section of Avenida Internacional and Calle Enrique Pérez Arce, on the right lane from north to south.

The paving work on Gabriel Leyva Avenue, which has not been rehabilitated in 50 years, is expected to finish in October.
