With an average of 1,000 to 1,500 tourists served daily, after applying the new normal, it is estimated that by the end of the year the Municipality of Los Cabos will recover 70% of the tourism lost due to the health contingency due to COVID-19, as stated by the Director of Tourism in the Municipality of Los Cabos, Alejandro Bonilla Guerrero.
The official explained that the economic reactivation in the municipality does not imply that the pandemic is over, therefore its dependence will be the link between the companies, as well as the private initiative and the associations in order to make them arrive in a timely manner the security protocols to implement; These are always based on what is stipulated by COEPRIS .
He explained that the participation of the State Government, as well as the Municipal Government, the Health Sector, businessmen, associations and of course the work of citizens, have been key for the gradual reopening of companies and businesses in the tourism sector, as the official reactivation protocols, 11 beaches have been opened under inspection, which are offered to tourists.
He said that to date there are no open nightclubs, but work is being done so that, with the new normal, it is gradual and responsible.
