The franchise will arrive at the port with all the current conditions of the team in the administrative and sports parts.
It is a fact, Mazatlán will have a Liga MX professional soccer team in 2020, and Monarcas Morelia will be the franchise that will move to the port to fulfill the dream of many a Mazatleco of having soccer at home.
Beyond the details that must be fulfilled by Liga MX and the Mexican Soccer Federation, everything is being done for Monarcas to move to Mazatlán with the same administrative and sports conditions that the franchise has today.
In other words, the same board of directors that Monarcas Morelia has today, headed by Mauricio Lanz, will be in charge of starting the project in Mazatlán, while in the sports part they will maintain nost of the roster that they have today.
Sinaloa Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel had expressed his confidence in having a Liga MX team this year and the tourist boost that would have for the state.
It will be in the next few days when the request to change places becomes official against Liga MX and the processes begin so that Opening 2020 has a new headquarters.
