Due to Coronavirus the TV and Novela Awards Postponed to April or May says Mazatlan Mayor

The TV and Novelas Prize of Televisa is postponed, said in the interview the mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, who was puzzled about what will happen to the other massive events that are scheduled in the city of Mazatlan

The municipality was interviewed before an act by Governor Quirino Ordaz Coppel and said that in the face of some events there is “to wait how the coronavirus pandemic is going,” including Easter.

He said that many events are local and national and he hopes that there will be no major problems, however, in the case of the TV and Novelas awards, the actors and actresses did not want to travel on the planes because there are many people who come from other countries.

Benítez Torres accepted that there will be damages to tourism and that an international shipping company (Princess), which brings cruises to Mazatlán, will not come in at least two months. “This is a pandemic that can affect us,” he reiterated.

However, he clarified that there is no case of coronavirus in Mazatlán.
