“Elota is a thriving municipality with livestock, agriculture, commerce, fishing and now with the plus of tourism”, Elotense Mayor Geovani Escobar said at the press conference, announcing on February 1 and 2 the IV edition of the Expo Feria del Ostión 2020, “The best oysters in the world”, in the beach community of Celestino Gasca, where 12 thousand visitors are expected for this Expo.
Elota is located right on the Mazatlan-Culiacán highway (78 kilometers north of this port), and the program “#Discover Elota” has been launched, in which the tourist attractions of the municipality are announced.
There are 280 hotel rooms where tourists can be accommodated, and there will be a camping site for them to join the Expo Fair that, in addition to the gastronomic exhibition, will feature cultural, artistic and sports shows, competitions, as well as sculptors of sand competition.
