Mazatlan, Sinaloa .- The executive project of the Rafael Buelna’s work does not include parking drawers for the commercial area, which is why the merchants of this road spoke against and demanded from the authorities a modification to the project to contemplate these spaces.
At a meeting, the merchants spoke with municipal officials, a representative of the Ministry of Public Works of the State and with one of the contractors of the work, who argued that it was difficult to make certain modifications.
After more than an hour and a half of dialogue and disagreement, finally, the mayor of Mazatlan, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, proposed two alternatives: eliminate one of the lanes of this avenue with a defined schedule, or build a replica of the public parking lot It is building in front of the Aquarium, which is free and includes free public transport to transfer users to various points of El Malecón.
“Number one: the proposal for parking is a whole lane of the three that will be there, leave it for parking but with schedules, not all day to park there, that would be at times that is not ‘peak’, at rush hour it would be very difficult … look for example from 3:00 in the afternoon to 8:00 at night you can park … the other proposal is the parking lot that I am committing, those are the proposals of the town hall, ”he explained .
This decision will have to be taken in common agreement by all the merchants and the authorities, in subsequent meetings that they will be holding, as long as the authorities do not make observations against.
