The state leader in the company of his wife, the president of the state DIF System, participated in this race, which he said is a very inclusive sporting event, because people with different abilities participate, which are an example to follow; In addition to this sporting party allows to boost and strengthen the sport.

In this edition of 2019, more than 12 thousand athletes participate, both in the Half Marathon and Marathon, 21 and 42 kilometers respectively, among which are runners from Kenya, Canada, the US and Mexico, among others.

It should be noted that this morning the wheelchair race, the Crutches and Visual Weakers, and the Alegría race were also held; where children with different abilities participate. And yesterday, Saturday, there were children’s races and the 5 and 10 kilometer test.

For his part, the president of the Administrative Council of the Marathon, José Antonio Toledo Ortiz, said that the Grand Marathon is a way to invite people who take care of themselves physically to have a fuller life and realize the importance of what is that the physical exercise.

“For Mazatlan, it is a city lifestyle, in addition to leaving a good economic spill for the tourism and commerce sector,” he said.
