The Government of Mexico will auction six homes seized from Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán in Culiacán, one of which would have belonged to Griselda López, mother of Ovidio Guzmán López, alias “ El Ratón ”.
The director of the Institute to Return the Stolen People, Ricardo Rodríguez Vargas, announced the fifth auction with social purpose that will be held on Sunday, November 10 from 12:00 to 14:00 at the Los Pinos Cultural Complex.
During the morning press conference in the National Palace, the official said that this auction against various goods whose starting price is 32.5 million pesos, which will be destined to musical bands of children in the state of Oaxaca.
He explained that 45 lots will be presented that include 24 vehicles divided into two groups, one of not so recent high-end units of models such as Corvette, Mustang, Jaguar and Mercedes; and another of luxury vehicles of more recent models, as well as a Vocho whose initial price will be two thousand pesos.
In addition, he said, for the first time boats will be auctioned, these are two cargo ships to transport fuels or various products.
As well as nine real estates, of which seven are in the state of Sinaloa and an average value of one million 200 thousand pesos to a house of 700 meters of land valued at 11 million pesos.
Rodríguez Vargas said that in this auction prices will be handled 20 percent below its value and in jewels of up to 50 percent off.
According to the list of 45 lots, published by the Asset and Asset Management Institute and / or Institute to Return the Stolen to the People, among the houses seized from the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, are those that belonged to the mother of The Raton.
One of the houses is the one located in the constituents Emiliano García 1811, in the Libertad neighborhood, from which El Chapo escaped from the military through a tunnel connected to the drainage system in February 2014.
Another of the residences, the one with the highest price, is located on the Cerro de las 7 gotas number 642, Colinas de San Miguel subdivision; It has a plot of 648 m2 and 348.50 m2 of construction, and will have a starting price of 11 million 224 thousand 445.82 pesos.
